The Washington Demon’s girls golf team won the Southeast Iowa conference meet yesterday. The Demons hosted the meet, and shot a team score of 375, beating second place Mt. Pleasant who scored a 395. The Demon’s top player was Shannon Paul who shot an 88 and was one of the top three golfers for the Demons who were all-conference.

At the beginning of the meet head coach Len Kull said he was worried about the nerves, but today says it is harder to know what you’re seeing when you can only watch one player.

The Demons will go on to the regional meet, Monday at Mt. Pleasant. Kull says Williamsburg will be the Demons toughest competition, and his girls will more than likely be paired with them in a foursome. Kull added that he has confidence in his girls to focus on their game and not their competitions.
