An area family and a local business owner have donated their money and time to put in a new welcome sign in Wellman. The sign on the south side of Wellman was constructed to match the signs on the east and west sides of town. The family that approached the city to donate the sign chose to remain anonymous. The family’s reasoning behind the donation is simply to beautify the city. The material, labor, money, and time were all donated thanks to the family and the local business owner.
