One of the topics at last night’s city council meeting in Wellman involved an increase in water rates.

It was the second reading of ordinance NO. 220, and the third and final will be at next weeks meeting.  The increase will be less than originally projected.

When the reverse osmosis water filtration system was installed, the base water rate was projected to be 40 dollars, but under this ordinance the base rate will be only 38 dollars.
