In a story previously reported on KCII, a Butler County man has been sentenced on charges of an incident in rural Kalona.  According to online court records, 22 year old Dallas Jay Miller from Aplington has been sentenced with burglary in the 1st Degree and Assault with the intent to commit Sexual Abuse.

This sentencing comes from a guilty verdict on a complaint that showed Miller entered a residence at 2245 500th Street SW in Kalona in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 8th last year armed with a rifle, camera and a roll of tape.

Miller will be held in jail for two years for the assault charge.  He will also have to file on the state’s sex offender registry for a period of ten years.
