Washington County Hospital and Clinics is again offering Diabetes classes for persons with the disease. Registered Dietician Anne Sposato says this class is for those who have been diagnosed with any stage of diabetes. She says those attending will learn what diabetes is, how to use your blood sugar meters, complications of diabetes, healthy eating, counting carbs, exercise, medication and different resources for those affected with the disease.
Sposato says the cost is $50 per family to cover the materials which can be billed to insurance. She adds this is an all-day seminar which will be held tomorrow as well as the fourth Thursday of every month starting next month at Washington County Hospital and Clinics. For more information, contact Anne Sposato at the hospital.
