Sixty-Two area youth had the opportunity to learn about farm safety during the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day held recently at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  [simage=3596,400,y,center]

Amy Green 4-H/Youth Coordinator says the day started with a personal account of a family farm accident story followed by the kids breaking into small groups to discuss topics such as sun safety, animal safety, healthy lifestyles, 911 calls, lawn mower safety, along with general first aid.  The youth also made First Aid Kits as well.

The Progressive Agriculture Safety Day was put on by the Washington County Extension Office with help from Washington FFA, Washington Hospital and Clinics, Washington County Safety Center, Environmental Health, the Washington Y, WCDC, Jim Cuddeback Farms and Precision Ag.
