A Flag Day event was held as part of the Thursday Night Live event last night.  The Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Boy Scouts hosted this event.  Julie Beenblossom with the DAR says this ceremony that is usually conducted near Flag Day in Sunset Park was held in the square because of the audience there for the Farmers Market.

Those who were at the event witnessed the Boy Scouts presenting the Colors followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of the National Anthem.

The Boy Scouts also presented a flag folding ceremony.  Beenblossom says this ceremony has been happening for more than 100 years.
