A local business helping hospital stays be more comfortable for sick children has completed their fundraising campaign.  Holly El Fenniche with the Washington Wal-Mart says their annual fund raising drive helped support the Children’s Miracle Network.  She says during the six-week campaign the store brought in just under $15,200 which is three thousand more than last year.

The money will help to fund research, special size equipment for the children, educational material for the parents, and enhancements to make the hospital visit enjoyable.  All of the funds raised go to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.

El Fenniche says Washington raised almost as much as the Iowa City and Coralville stores combined.  She notes the Gospel Sing held earlier this month and KCII bringing the message to the community helped in their drive being so successful.
