A grand opening event is set for next week to celebrate new projects in Washington County.  Craig Capps with the Washington County Conservation Board says a new trail near Marr Park and new campsites at Marr Park are nearly complete.  He says when the trail is complete it will run from Ainsworth to around the lake at the Park.

These projects were funded by a grant from the state Department of Transportation as well as funds from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation along with Kauffman Memorial funds.

Capps says the open house for these new projects is being held Saturday, June 30th beginning at 5:00 in Ainsworth, followed by a ribbon cutting at 6:00 in Marr Park.  To find out more information about the grand opening, contact the Washington County Conservation Center.
