Students getting ready to start high school this fall will have a new way of learning given to them at the start of the year.  Jeff Brock, Technology Director says ten pallets with a total of 575 computers have been received.  He says the process of trying to get everything organized and planned to receive the computers was not easy.  Brock says everything started several months ago and he has been working with Apple on when they would be receiving the computers.

He notes the computers come with a base set of software, but more programs will be added as students start school and check them out.  Brock says students will be able to take the computers home if they have proper forms signed, otherwise students will have to turn them in the end of each day.

He says those starting in ninth grade this year will have the same computer throughout their entire high school career.  The School Board held a meeting last Friday to authorize the district to purchase the computers for 700-thousand dollars.
