Those who like to stargaze should get ready for a rare astronomical event tomorrow night.  This event is so rare that it won’t happen again for another 105 years, in December 2117.  The transit of the planet Venus is making its way across the sun tomorrow night through sunset.

To be able to see this event, you will need to be prepared as looking directly at the sun will cause permanent eye damage.  To see the transit, you will need to purchase either disposable eclipse shades or #14 welding glasses. A pinhole projector can be made as well.

You can also view a live webcam of the transit that will be available online.  To find out more information, look here.
