Area female college students in need of financial help to complete their education can still apply for a scholarship. Teresa Swift, with Just Us Girls, says they are offering a $500 scholarship to a Washington County female who has been out of school for at least one year.  She says anyone applying should have some musical involvement in her community, be enrolled in a college or vocational school, or have plans to do so in the near future.

Swift adds the scholarship will be applied toward tuition costs at any accredited institution.  The application deadline is Wednesday, August 1st.
