Kalona Days went well this weekend, despite two rainouts. According to Gloria Hochstedler taking into consideration food sales and turnout the festival was a success. The Battle of the Bands and Garden Tractor Pull finished up before the rain came Saturday. All contestants in the Bill Riley Talent Show were able to perform outside on the stage with the award ceremony being moved inside due to the rain.
KCII was there helping out, getting the audio set up, announcing the parade, as well as emceeing the Battle of the Bands and talent show.
Hochstedler adds that despite the rainouts and the cancellation of the live bands in the beer garden, people had a good time and were happy to see the area getting rain.
