The City of Kalona will be applying for mini grants through the Washington County Riverboat Foundation. The grant applications were approved at Monday night’s city council meeting.
The grant requests include funds for chairs, tables, an AED medical unit for the community center and for renovating the enclosed shelter in the park.
For the library, a DVD/CD repair system and an archive quality scanner for historical preservation of items. Kalona has had success in the past, receiving mini grants for an indoor/outdoor movie system and a bounce house.
