A large area of severe weather rolled through southeast Iowa yesterday.

They brought high winds, heavy rainfall and hail. Areas southwest Washington were among the hardest hit areas with the high speed winds leveling trees.

Winds reached 35 miles an hour in Washington and the National Weather Service reporting the winds as strong as 70 miles an hour. The KCII Severe Weather Action Team responded to the warning from the National Weather Service at 4:30.
