An item that’s been on the agenda for some time was addressed at last weeks Riverside City Council meeting. The question raised was whether or not Riverside could regulate the use of firearms on city property.

According to County Attorney Larry Brock, he was asked to be at the meeting to update the Council on the current status of the law. He informed them that under current law local political subdivisions cannot make any resolutions, motions or ordinances that would affect or regulate firearms.
