The most recent information released from the National Climatic Data Center shows Washington County experiencing very dry conditions.  The combination of the dry summer, mild winter and the amount of rainfall received in the last six weeks leave Washington County split between abnormally dry and moderate conditions.

The eastern half of the county along with Louisa and Henry Counties are faring better because of the larger amount of rain received the beginning of May.  These conditions look at current topsoil moisture levels based on the previous 50 years.
