With the temperatures expected to be hot over the summer, there are steps that can be taken to be safe in the heat.  Lynn Fisher from Washington County Public Health says there are three types of people who have a harder time dealing with rising temperatures – very young, the elderly and those with chronic diseases.

She adds to check on those who don’t have air conditioning as well.  Fisher says everyone can do their part to stay healthy as well by looking for shade, rearranging outdoor activities and to drink plenty of fluids.

Fisher adds to contact your doctor if you feel you might be experiencing a heat related illness.
