The USDA has released the crop and weather report for last week. Southeast Iowa fields are still trying to rebound from a month without rain. The inch of rain we received recently has helped some, but 42% of fields still have a shortage of moisture.

Fortunately the majority of corn across the region is still in good or excellent condition. Almost all corn has emerged, 6 days ahead of normal. Also 83% of soybeans have emerged, almost 20% farther than the five year average.
