The No. 7 Demon softball team will be tested tonight with a conference game against Fairfield.

The Trojans are 12-9 on the season, and hitting .250. They are 6-4 in their last ten and 2-2 in away games in those last ten games, losing two games to 5A Burlington. They are also leading the conference by one game over Washington.

Their team pitching has an ERA of 3.54 and 64 strikeouts while holding opponents to hitting .272.

The Demons lost to Fairfield last time they met in the first game 13-12 in extra innings and rain, and then came back to beat them 11-0 in the second game.

Washington is hitting a fourth best in the state .452 and a fourth best in the state on base percentage of
.506, both of those stats are out of all classes. The only team ahead of the Demons in 4A is Clear Creek Amana, who has played three more games than Washington.

The Demon pitching has a team ERA of 2.11, with 100 strikeouts and holding opponents to hitting just over .200.
