A trespasser at the Wellman YMCA has prompted the desire for more security.

The trespasser, who’s a member of the Park Side Y, was found working out Sunday the 17th while the facility was closed. He was able to get in because the high school basketball team was using the gym for a scrimmage. The man was asked to leave by Y employees and they believed that he had. A couple of hours later the man was found in an employee’s only area inside a closet.

At last weeks city council meeting City Administrator Nick Pacha stated that he spoke to Angie Boyse with the Y about applying for a mini-grant through the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for a security camera system.
