An accident near Kalona yesterday afternoon has injured one person. According to the Washington County Safety Center, a report was received around 1:50 of a one vehicle rollover accident.  The driver, Brian McCain of Washington was injured and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Iowa City by Washington County Ambulance.

Others responding to the scene were The Washington County Sheriff’s Department and the Kalona First Responders.  Charges are pending against McCain for failure to maintain control and for no proof of insurance.  KCII will bring you more information when it becomes official.
