The Brinton Film Festival is getting ready to celebrate its 14th year next weekend.  Mike Zahs from the Ainsworth Opera House says during the festival, films that date back as far as 1894 will be shown.  He adds these are some of the oldest movies still in existence.  Zahs notes some of the films were shown as part of the State Theater’s Grand Reopening last year.

Historical information about the films and magic lantern slides are being presented as well.  The film festival is happening next Friday and Saturday at the Ainsworth Opera House.  An ice cream social will also take place before the films each night at 7:00.
