The future of Washington is about to take a big step forward.  Steve Donnolly, Washington’s City Planning and Zoning Administrator says the Planning and Zoning Commission is set to approve the City’s Comprehensive Plan in a joint meeting with the Washington City Council tonight.

Work on the Comprehensive Plan started in October and shows different ways of improving the city over the next 20 years including a Wellness Park, more sidewalks, and other development to entice growth into the community.

After the Comprehensive Plan is approved, the next step is for consideration by the City Council.  This joint meeting begins at 7:00 tonight in the upstairs meeting room of the Washington Public Library.
