The sidewalk project in the city of Columbus Junction is making progress. The project that picked up where it left off last summer is making its way down Main Street.
The project involves tearing up the old sidewalk and replacing it with new concrete. Some residential streets are getting new sidewalks and property owners can request that theirs get done if they help with the cost.
Fincancing comes from the utilization of Tax Increment Financing and the approximately $10,000 the city sets aside for the project each year.
