The deadline to sign up for the upcoming Honor Flight is this weekend. The Honor Flight is a chance for World War II Veterans to visit Washington, DC. Nancy Craig with Honor Flight Eastern Iowa says applications are being accepted from area Vets as well as guardians for the flight.
The day will consist of visiting different monuments and witness the changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The trip is happening on Tuesday, September 18th.
Applications are due tomorrow and are available at the Washington County Veteran’s Affairs Office, Washington Public Library, Washington Hy-Vee or via this link.
