The Demon softball team continues their march through the State tournament tonight when they play No. 2 Dallas Center-Grimes.

The Demons beat No. 3 Carlisle on Tuesday 5-2, but Dallas Center-Grimes is a much different team.

The Fillies are hitting .314 with a .392 on base percentage, but their pitching staff is a different monster. Their top pitcher, Paige Lowary has a .41 ERA, 336 strikeouts and opponents are hitting an even .100 against her.

The Demons have the offense to break her with their .406 batting average and .466 on base percentage, and Ashley Rausch won’t go down easy with her 1.74 ERA and opponents hitting .184.

Head coach Angie Shrader said her girls are focused now on this game and not worried about what happens afterward.

The Demons and the Fillies will play today at 5:30 P.M.

We will have all of the action of the second round game for the Demon softball team with pregame starting around 5:10 and first pitch scheduled for 5:30 on AM and FM KCII and KCIIRadio.com under radio plus. The one to count on for State softball coverage is AM and FM KCII.
