The Washington Demon volleyball team will hold their summer camp at the end of the month.

The camp is two different groups, a sixth, seventh and eighth grade group and high school group. The first group will go Tuesday through Thursday in the afternoons, while the high school group will go all week long in the morning, starting on Monday July 30 through Friday the third, and the younger group in the middle of that week.

Each day will feature drills focused on volleyball skills such as passing, hitting and serve receiving.

The camp will be at the old high school due to the new high school getting their new bleachers.

Head coach Jeff Spenner says it is a good way of working your way into the team by doing this camp.

“There have been some new girls [at the open gyms], and they have been picking it up really quick,” Spenner said. “This would definitely be a head start for someone, especially for ninth graders and also our older girls to kind get a jump start.”

The cost is $50 for high school athletes and $30 for the younger group. Spenner asks that you preregister to help with numbers, but that anyone can register the day of as well. For an online registration form go to demonvolleyball.com
