The Washington Demon baseball team won their district last night with a dominating performance over the No.2 Grinnell Tigers.

Colin Steele was on the mound for all seven innings of the game, striking our four and only allowing three earned runs in the game. The Demons also had a big game from T.J. Rausch and Walker Breard at the plate, both knocking in three. Breard had a solo shot over the right field wall to lead off the fifth inning.

Washington led the entire game on their way to the 8-3 win over Grinnell, and will now face Williamsburg on Wednesday in Washington.

Washington head coach Nathan Miller said after the game that it was a complete team effort by the Demons, and that the pitching from Steele was effective against the Tigers.

This was only the sixth loss all season Grinnell has suffered.
