The Washington Demons scored 17 runs in the first and seventh inning to move on in the regional tournament.

The Demons went up against Davenport North and sent 13 batters to the plate in the first inning scoring nine runs on their way to a 19-7 win.

North didn’t go down easy, putting up three in the first and second innings and then coming within two with another across the plate in the fourth inning, but it was the Demons who kept the lead and continued to dominate.

As the weather cooled off, the Ashley Rausch heated up in the circle. She went all seven, striking ut seven, walking four and had five earned runs against her.

Kaitlin Buchholz had five RBI’s for the Demons, while going three for five with a run thrown in as well.

Washington will stay at home for their next game in the regional tournament, the regional final. The No. 7 Demons will play No. 8 North Scott who beat Maquoketa 13-1 in four innings to move into the final on Tuesday.
