The National Climatic Data Center has released the most recent drought information and conditions in southeast Iowa are still getting worse.  After receiving no rainfall in the last week, southeast Iowa is still listed as moderately dry, however the east central portion of the state as well as parts of Appanoose, Davis and Van Buren Counties are seeing a severe drought.

The dryness is predicted to get worse as a below normal chance of rainfall is still expected over the next 30 days.  KCII will continue to monitor the drought conditions across southeast Iowa.
