A workshop is being held next week to discuss the leasing of farmland. This workshop is being held to help landowners, tenants and other agri-business professionals with issues related to farmland ownership, management and leasing agreements says Gene Mohling with the ISU Extension.
He adds discussion will be held regarding the current drought conditions along with the impact of erosion on land values, implications of the proposed Farm Bill as well as other items that will impact agriculture in the next year.
Everyone coming will receive a 100-page booklet of useful materials. Mohling says the workshop will last approximately two and a half hours at the Washington County Extension.
This workshop is happening next Monday beginning at 6:30. For more information and to sign up, contact the Washington County Extension.
