A workshop is happening tonight to discuss farmland leasing. Gene Mohling with the ISU Extension says this workshop is designed to help landowners, tenants and other agri-business professionals with issues related to farmland ownership, management and leasing agreements.
Discussion regarding the current drought conditions along with the impact of erosion on land values, implications of the proposed Farm Bill as well as other items that will impact agriculture in the next year will be held as well.
Everyone coming receives a 100-page booklet of useful materials. Mohling says the workshop will last approximately two and a half hours at the Washington County Extension. This workshop begins tonight at 6:30.
