Construction is set to begin Monday on the Louisa County Youth Center. The groundbreaking for the new building took place yesterday following the world record attempt.

Member of the Louisa County Fair Board and chairman of the Youth Center Fund Raising Committee Bob Schlutz, shares that the project got started when there were leftover funds for raising the levy around the fairgrounds after the 2008 flood.

In preparation for a flood, the building will be two feet off the ground. The building will address the need for new bathrooms and showers, while also providing extra space.
