A heat advisory is in effect for the entire area today and tomorrow. Temperatures today will climb to around 100 and combine with high humidity to send heat index values to around 105 by this afternoon. The hot conditions will continue into the day tomorrow for central and southern parts of Iowa.

A cold front dropping into the region tonight will keep high temperatures around 90 in northeast Iowa tomorrow. The front will also bring a chance of a few thunderstorms in that same area tonight and tomorrow with the possibility of a strong storm or two.
