An area school is gathering funds for some re-shingling on their roof. Director of Development at Iowa Mennonite School, Larry Swartzendruber, shares that they’ve been contacting individuals and advertising trying to get people to help with the funding.
He says that they’ve raised almost $28,000, with single donors giving up to $2,500. The entire project is expected to cost $64,000.
To show appreciation for those who donate more than $400, IMS is holding fresh salmon meal, tentatively set for Friday, September 7th. The fish is being provided by 1980 alumni Jim Miller, who is currently in Alaska. If you would like to donate you can contact the school.
