An area official recently attended a national conference in Pennsylvania. Johnson County Supervisor Terrance Neuzil joined 1,800 other elected officials at the National Association of Counties Annual Conference (NACo), this year held in Pittsburgh.

According to Neuzil the conference is an opportunity to learn and gather ideas to bring back to their individual counties.

He adds that one of the programs he wants to implement has to do with dental assistance. He’s says that the County will be looking for dentists in the area that want to participate. This program would lower costs for dental cleanings at the local level.

For more information on this program listen to tomorrow’s In Touch with South East Iowa.
