The Keota School District recently received a large sum of money to help out with their finances.
The district received a total of 140,000 dollars that will go into the general fund. The money comes from a group of concerned citizens that did fundraising in the community. The effort started as a letter writing campaign and later into benefits, most recently getting a hypnotist for Keota Fun Days.
According to Superintendent Mark Schneider those behind the effort include Anne Chalupa, Rod Hill, Rita Sheetz and Mike Williams.
