The Lone Tree Lions baseball team took home a win last night, and a conference title in the Southeast Iowa Superconference.

Lone Tree played a struggling Columbus Junction team and grabbed the win and the conference, but needed a little help from their friends at IMS to beat Pekin on Friday and they did..

Lone Tree finished the season in the SEISC 13-3, while IMS finished in second with a record of 11-5.

Head coach Ryan Barnes said it was good to see the boys win something they have worked for so hard.

“It’s been a long time coming I’ll say that” Barnes said. “It feels good, I’m happy for the boys, this is something they’ve worked really hard all year [for] and this is something they’ll never forget.”
