Roadwork starting at the north junction of Highway 92 to 2nd Street in Washington is under way. The construction will widen the road and add safety features.
Right now crews are in the process of filling in cracks, after that they will remove the top layer of the road. Once that’s completed the asphalt will be laid and the lines will be painted, which should be done by the end of September.
There are no detours planned, but the street will be down to three lanes in Washington. In addition patch work will be done from 2nd Street to the east city limits.
