A public hearing was held as part of the Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting yesterday.  This public hearing dealt with proposed text changes of the Washington County Zoning Ordinance.  The first of three readings of this ordinance change followed.

The Supervisors did not award the winning bid for the HACAP/Orchard Hill rehabilitation project as the bids were still ninety-three thousand dollars over the engineer’s estimate.  The County will now look to cover 21% of the additional cost and will ask for a Community Development Block Grant to cover the rest.

The County will hope to make a decision on the project by August 7th as the bids submitted last week are only good for a total of 30 days.  The project completion date is scheduled for December 14th.
