A Washington business is receiving federal funding for their work in biofuel. Congressman Dave Loebsack announced Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC in Washington is receiving over $133,000 as part of more than one million dollars from the US Department of Agriculture Bioenergy Program for Advanced Biofuels.
He says these payments are made to eligible producers based on the amount of biofuels produced from renewable biomass, other than corn kernel starch. Businesses in Clinton, Ames, Newton and Danville are receiving the remaining portion of these funds.
