The Washington City Council met last night and discussed a sewer cleaning project as part of the meeting.  Work will be done on sewers in the north and west central parts of town where approximately 15 miles of sewer will be cleaned and “televised” to view the progress of the cleaning.  The cost of this project is $72,750.

A first reading of an ordinance to designate the area regarding the city’s Urban Revitalization Plan was conducted.  This plan is for tax abatements for different classifications of property within the city limits.

The Council also passed a policy to comply with the state’s Open Records Law based off the State Code.
