The Washington City Council held a public hearing regarding construction last night.  This hearing covered the planned construction project on South Avenue E.  A bid of a little over $223,000 was awarded to Horsefield Construction out of Epworth for this project.

The Council also approved Phase 1 of the traffic plan for 1918 School Building.  These plans include student pickup/drop off on 4th Avenue and buses will continue to use the north side of Madison Street.

The Council authorized a controlled burn of property from 303 East Washington Street as well.
