A Washington County 4-H member has received a state award.  Shelly Palmer from Keota received a state 4-H Rabbit Project Award from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.

Palmer has been a member of 4-H for eight years and has completed projects in a wide variety of areas from animals to gardening and home improvement.

This award also comes with a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
