The Washington County Fair continues today with more 4-H and FFA Livestock events. Recognition of 4-H Carcass cattle on hoof starts at 2:00 and the Alumni Steer Show begins at 4:00.  Amy Green with the Washington County Extension says the Steer Show is a way to connect caring adults with youth and have a working partnership where they can both be successful.

During the show judging takes place on the showmanship, how much they know about the animal and how much fun they are having.  Other events include Pride of Iowa beginning at 5:00 followed by the Shooting Sports Award presentation at 5:30 and the presentation of State Fair and Special Awards at 6:00.

There will be a free watermelon feed at 3:00 and the Bucket of Junk Contest Art auction taking place at 6:30.  The featured event is the Moto-Cross in the Grandstand at 7:00.

KCII will continue to be at the Fair with the Big Red Radio from 10:00 to 7:00 today and tomorrow and for a full schedule of events, click on the Fair banner on the home page.
