A man from Washington County has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation in Mahaska County.  According to Mahaska County Sheriff Paul DeGeest, 48 year old Norman Walker of West Chester was one of five individuals arrested near Barnes City on Tuesday.  Walker has been charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.

The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, the Oskaloosa Police Department, the Mahaska County Drug Task Force, the Southeast Iowa Drug Task Force, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Iowa State Patrol executed three search warrants leading to the arrests.

The investigation is continuing at this time and KCII will bring you more information when it becomes official.
