The Washington Demons lose in the 4A state quarterfinals to No. 2 Dallas Center-Grimes. They play No. 1 Clear Creek Amana tomorrow at 3:30 for 3rd place.

Kaitlin Buchholz and Lauren Vittetoe had the only hits for the Demons, and both came in the 7th with Washington trailing. Starting pitcher Ashley Rausch gave up no earned runs in 6 innings, but two Demon errors led to two Fillie runs.
