With the temperatures still expected to be hot over the next few days, there are steps that can be taken to be safe in the heat. The very young, the elderly and those with chronic diseases are the three different groups of people who have a harder time dealing with rising temperatures says Lynn Fisher from Washington County Public Health.
She adds to check on those who don’t have air conditioning as well.
Fisher says everyone can do their part to stay healthy by looking for shade, rearranging outdoor activities and to drink plenty of fluids. Fisher adds to contact your doctor if you feel you might be experiencing a heat related illness.
