An annual event for man’s best friend has been announced.  The Washington Dog Park Association is holding their annual Doggie Paddle at Sunset Park’s Steele Family Aquatic Center in two weeks.

June Henderson with the Dog Park Association says this event allows Washington area residents to bring their dogs to the city’s Aquatic Center to swim.  Attendance is $5 per dog and the pool will be closed to humans.

She notes all dogs must have a current rabies tag or proof of vaccination.  The Sixth Annual Doggie Paddle is Saturday, September 1st from 1:00 to 5:00.
